Every fall and spring, Northwood’s hockey teams perform fitness testing to gauge each player’s physical improvement over the course of the school year and summer.

The girls began their test outside, running 1.5 mile course around campus on a beautiful spring day. Serena M led the pace with Cassie K right behind her. They then moved to the fitness center for push-ups and shuttles. Julie D was the first to break 40 and Jess B, Cassie K, Erin B, and Erin K also broke the 40 barrier. In 300 yard shuttles, Cailey H proved to be the quickest with a stellar recovery time in between the two sets.

Erin K and Monica M showed the most improvement from the fall testing, and all players improved in one or more of the elements.

After the demanding workout, the girls were treated to dinner at coach’s house that ended with, characteristically, a competitive dodgeball game.
